We have started sending and receiving letters from penfriends based in England and Ireland with our 6emes. This is a great opportunity to write both in English and French, but also to learn more about different cultures, schools and habits. Our 6emes can introduce themselves, describe themselves and talk about their families, friends, school & hobbies. They also ask questions to their penpals.

Our penpals come from Dublin and study at Sandymount Park Educate Secondary School where they study – as core subjects – Irish, English, French or Spanish with Maths, History, Science and Ethical Education in Junior Cycle. They may also choose optional subjects such as Music, Classics, German, Art or Geography. There is a dress code in this school, yet there is no uniform.
